There is nothing more beautiful than having a little human calling you mom or dad. It gives a sense of fulfillment to know that someone else is looking up to you for guidance and care.

Unfortunately, parents, these days are so engrossed in making wealth for their kids, they barely have time to bond. When they are finally going for that once-in-a-lifetime PTA meeting and the teachers give feedback about their children, that’s when they realize they know nothing about their little vixens.

  • Who is your favorite superhero character?

Kids are obsessed with superheroes. They either want to be superman, wonder woman, batman, or even iron man. Ask your kids which superhero fascinates them and why. For all we know, your baby may have wanted to be the villain and you never knew.

  • Who is your best friend?

Keep tabs on the people in your kid’s life. This goes for friends, both in school and at home. Take time to even invite their friends over and assess their relationship. Is it healthy and worth promoting?

  • What do you want to do when you grow up?

A child somewhere once mentioned that they wanted to be a musician when they grow up and the parents almost got an aneurysm because they thought their baby would follow in their footsteps.

Look, kids have wild imaginations. Ask your kids what they like to do when they grow older and why they want to do it. Encourage them to follow their passions. This will guarantee intimate bonding with your kids.

  • What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

As a parent, you need to find out what your kids do when they are not focusing on schoolwork or chores. Explore their hobbies with them- you can even join in the fun. Ask them about their favorite sports or games to play and how it works.

  • How was your day?

This is a question that is not paid attention to, yet it is the most important. Asking your kids about their day helps to unearth some of the tension they may have experienced but do not dare to say. This engagement helps to settle cases of bullying, anxiety or sadness, and fear, among others.

Generally, for parents to bond with their kids, it takes spending time together as much as possible. God knows when they grow up and finally settle on their own, you will be missing the good old days when they were fussing around the house.
