“My country will export dog meat overseas to make more money in order to pay off the country’s debts,” he said while rallying in Kakamega county.

According to Humane Society International, a Washington, D.C.-based organization that advocates for animal protection worldwide about 2.5 million dogs are raised on South Korean dog farms each year. About 1 million are killed and eaten. The rest are used for breeding with many dogs dying because of the farms’ high mortality rate.

In his previous statement while interviewed by Citizen TV, Wajackoyah pledged that should he win the upcoming elections, his government will legalize bhang and introduce snake farming to extract snake poison for medics and export the snake meat to China.

“We have so many snake eaters like Chinese. One of the ways we are going to offset the Chinese debts is by extracting the poison from the snakes and then giving the Chinese the meat to eat and telling them to offset the debt,” Wajackoyah said.

He noted that his government will indulge in anti-venom global marketing as a mode of widening the country’s economy.

“We will introduce snake farming so that we can actually extract snake poison for purpose of the medication. A lot of people are bitten by snakes in this country and we have to wait for snake doses from outside the country in pharmaceutical organizations,” he stated.

According to Wajackoyah, legalizing bhang will generate enough business opportunities for youths which eventually will lead to the abolishment of the bodaboda enterprise.

“They will be at the forefront of cultivating and exporting bhang to generate millions of monies for the country,” said Wajackoyah.

“We shall not need bodaboda on our roads because there will be nobody to carry since most Kenyans will be millionaires with money we will generate through the exportation of bhang,” he added.
