Departing Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago’s wife could not contain her happiness at her husband handing over leadership of the county to incoming governor Jonathan Bii.
Lucy Mandago warned women who were drooling over her hubby on August 25 during the swearing-in of Bii and his deputy at Eldoret Sports Club, that time has run out, as she is now in full control of him.
“Kama ulikuwa unamnyemelea, I want to tell you that your time is now up, he is now mine. It has not been an easy task with him at the helm. Thank you for giving him back to me,” Lucy remarked wryly as she was greeted with laughter from the audience.
While handing the incoming first lady a Bible and hymn book, Lucy urged her to instead sing songs of praise to God when she was stressed, alluding to how stressful her life used to be when her husband was still in office.

“Sometimes you might be stressed but instead of looking for someone to talk to, open the hymn book and sing,” added Mrs. Mandago, as reported by a local newsroom.
Her hubby, on the other hand, pledged to his family that he will now be available full time, after a fruitful two-year term as the governor, in his final speech.
“I want to thank the people of Uasin Gishu for giving me an opportunity to serve as their senator in Nairobi, I am now closer to my family and I want to inform them that I will now be available 24 hours,” expressed Jackson.
