Stop wasting Money on Side Chicks – President Uhuru tells men

President Uhuru has urged men to focus their resources on their wives and families instead of their secret lovers.

Speaking during the launch of the Title Deeds issuance program, Uhuru referred to how men use title deeds as collateral to borrow loans wasted on secret lovers instead of uplifting the whole family.

“When some men get money, they go to their secret lovers. They forget they left their wives at home. They spend all the cash leaving their families in poverty… please men, let’s change”, Uhuru said after launching the program at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre on Wednesday.

“The problem of getting title deed is that when the man gets it, he feels it’s his own property and does not need others. This title deed is for you and your family. You need to guard it so that your family can remember you in the future. Let’s treat this as a valuable document please,” He remarked.

The program will see Kenyans receive one million of the six million title deeds that need to be issued to various individuals and groups across the country.

“Today, we are launching and flagging off the issuance of 1 million out of 6 million title deeds that are ready across the registries in the various counties. The programme should be executed expeditiously such that before sunset on the Eighth of July, 2022 the balance of the one 1 million title deeds will have been conveyed to their holders,” President Kenyatta directed.

The Head of State was especially impressed at how the campaign gave people in the more marginalised counties such as Samburu, Isiolo and Marsabit to legally own land.

“I am honoured to have been the President who handed over a title deed to the first woman land owner in Marsabit; a feat that was unthinkable a decade ago when it was culturally held that women could not hold a title in land,” the President said.

Uhuru said it was regrettable that title deeds are a reason for conflict within families instead of a blessing and advised men to be responsible for the sake of their children and the future.

“Given the importance of land resource in the overall national development agenda, I do urge that you don’t elect people who will put us on reverse gear back to where we have come from,” Uhuru observed regarding the upcoming election.

As previously published, Ngina Kenyatta, daughter of the president and first lady Margaret Kenyatta, is said to have married in a secret wedding over the weekend.

Former statehouse digital strategist Dennis Itumbi, broke the unconfirmed news on his twitter account wishing the newlyweds all the best.
