Iran Unveils Final Prototype of Home-Grown Jet Trainer

Iran has unveiled the National Air Force which domestically produced jet trainers in a colorful ceremony in the Capital city of Tehran.

The jet trainer named Yasin was designed to teach pilots how to conduct air and air-to-surface combat missions’ officials said the jet can also be used for close air support compared with their first jet trainer unveiled in October of 2019.

Yasin has been upgraded with parts developed and produced in Iran, including its engines, ejection seats, and airborne weather radar.

“The most prominent feature of this model is the highly advanced domestic design. It can be used in different fields, especially for combat and close air support as engines and other major parts are all mating Iran”, an official said.

Iran has long been subject to sanctions imposed by Western countries. The head of Iran’s Aviation industry organization says the tight sanctions have actually encouraged the country to develop its own technologies of products.

“Despite the difficulties caused by sanctions, we have worked hard and managed to make progress. Technological breakthroughs will make further development possible, and the impact of the sanctions will gradually diminish”, another official said in a statement.

Measuring 12 meters long and four meters high. The jet trainer has a maximum flight speed of 1000 kilometers per hour and a maximum flight altitude of 12 kilometers.
