Detained For Wearing Rainbow Shirt

Grant Wahl was on international media last November when he was denied entry into the USMNT’s first fixture in Qatar because he was wearing a rainbow shirt in support of the LGBT community.

Grant Wahl’s brother Eric Wahl, who is gay, as reported by DW suspects foul play.

“I’m the reason he wore the rainbow shirt to the World Cup,” he said in a video posted to Instagram shortly after his brother’s death.

“My brother was healthy. He told me he received death threats. I do not believe my brother just died. I believe he was killed. And I just beg for any help.”
