In the past Marriage has always been a priority, especially for most women. Marriage was like a trophy where you will normally be seen as a person who made it in life, well that also depended on who you married. However, now things are a bit different.

When people get married it’s all a bed of roses until the honeymoon phase is over. One acquires responsibilities that were not there when they were single. Most people believed that the woman’s role in a marriage is to take care of the family, especially the husband and children while the man provides for the family.
However, this limits a woman to pursue their dream. Well, women can multitask however it becomes overwhelming when you have to take care of your man and follow your dream at the same time.
This may not be the case if your partner is supportive and will gladly share the family responsibilities equally. You both provide and take care of the family.
Past experiences
People say that experience is the best teacher and through past experiences, people learn from their mistakes. Many people have been through failing marriages such as one partner being abusive in a relationship, One partner is not faithful and a series of heartbreak after heartbreak.
Some take time to heal and bounce back in life but have decided not to put themselves through such experiences again. Once bitten twice shy. It’s not that women are playing hard to get its what they have been through and before they jump into any other marriage they have to assess you as a person.
Career Oriented
Many women are career oriented and believe that there is no time for relationships. Relationships take work and some do not have the energy to please someone else’s emotions while working on their career.
They also do not want to be distracted. Maybe when they are at the top of their career they might consider marriage.
In-Laws
When a woman marries according to the traditions she becomes part of the man’s family meaning she leaves her family behind and becomes part of the man’s family. Some women never get to see their parents and if they do it is very rare. On top of that, some in-laws are rude to the woman treating her as an outcast. This causes discomfort and hence marriage becomes less of a priority because being single is more peaceful and less stressful.
