As the cover of the June issue of teen Vogue, the Bronx rapper, Ice Spice addressed comments on colorism that were brought up from the Hot 97 Summer Jam, where she brought Alabama rapper, Flo Milli to perform with her.
She took time to respond to the claims that she is only successful in her career because of a lighter skin tone that she has.
I have seen those opinions and I feel like that is not something personal to me. I feel like that has been the conversation for generations and forever, since the beginning of time. I try not to feed into negativity because I see when people are trying to make that point, its not out of a good place.

Flo Milli took to her socials to share her frustrations on how people use her to as an example in their eyes, as not having a successful career because of her skin tone, even though she has been in the rap game for a long while.
