Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009, in Los Angeles, California due to a drug overdose. The popular musician was known for his electrifying performances and readable music. His music had messages that spoke to societal issues such as racism and police brutality.

The ‘Thriller’ hitmaker died at the age of 50 when he was said to be at the peak of his musical career even being nicknamed The King of Pop. He faced allegations of assault against children in his Neverland property back in 2003.
