Chinese President Xi Jinping has held talks by via video link with Czech President Milos Zeman on Monday, January 9, 2023.

Xi Jinping said that China attaches great importance to its relations with the Czech Republic as an important strategic partner.

China is ready to work with the Czech side to ensure the steady and long-term growth of relations and benefits to the people of both countries.

Xi said China’s high-level opening up will provide new opportunities for the Czech Republic and other countries.

He said China will take more action to increase cooperation with countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

President Zeman said the Czech Republic is willing to strengthen trade and investment with China and resume personnel and it’s willing to play a positive role in promoting EU-China relations.
