Here are some tips:
- Invest in neutral colors.
Colors like monochromes, peach, beige, or nude colors do the trick. These colors scream expensive babe/dude and that is the look we are aiming for.
Going bright is not bad, just make sure you minimize so that you don’t come out of your house looking like a rainbow puked on you. Color coordinating is an added advantage.
- Flattering fits
Honey, wearing clothes your size matters. Of course, some pieces are better baggy, like mum jeans but they need to be flattering. Remember clothes can be fitting but unflattering so be careful when you go shopping.
- Accessorize
Statement pieces work like a charm when you want to look classy. Find nice jewelry to complete the look. A pair of earrings, a necklace (it’s better if it’s pearl), a watch, and perfume.
They make you look like you swim in money. Avoid overdoing it, especially on the earrings. You do not wear earrings on all your piercings at go.
- Less is more
Oh yes. There is no point in going out in public looking like an improvised boutique. It makes you look rather basic and confused. Minimizing is maximizing sometimes so do not be scared of not trying so hard.

- Hair and makeup
Ask around, a lady in public who has her hair and makeup put together is considered more high-end than those who could care less whether their hair was a bird’s nest.
This goes both ways. Keep your grooming from head to toe in check, with the nails, the hair, and even your breath. It is the little things that matter.

- Put in some effort.
There are days when we all want to go grocery shopping in sweatpants and that is fine. However, find some good-looking sweats if you really must. Stay away from promotional t-shirts.
If anything, keep those strictly for the house, or better yet, burn them. Remember, you are trying to look classy, not homeless.
