President William Ruto has made a 39-second prayer prior to charing his first meeting with the Cabinet Secretaries (CSs) from all ministries.

President Ruto’s powerful prayer was an indicator of a spiritual presence in the chamber.

His prayer was as follows; “Heavenly Father we want to thank you for this moment…, thank you for bringing this Cabinet this morning.

“Father, we have agenda for the Nation to discuss…, we want to thank you for each and every one of us who are at this table…, give us wisdom…, give us patience, and all the affairs of the Nation.

“We commit Kenya into your able hands heavenly Father and commit every plan and every discussion about the plans we have so that you can give us success. We pray in Jesus’ name….,” President finalized his prayer.

Ruto’s meeting with the Cabinet Secretaries was purposively intended to echo all Cabinet ministries’ affairs.

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s cabinet secretaries attended the meeting.

Those in attendance are; Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, Attorney General Kihara Kariuki, Head of Public Service, Joseph Kinyua, Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure, housing, Urban Development and Public Works of Kenya, James Macharia, Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Farida Karoney and Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, Peter Munya.

Other Cabinet Secretaries include Health CS, Mutahi Kagwe, Margaret Kobia ( Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs), Najib Balala (Tourism), Eugene Wamalwa (Defence), Keriako Tobiko (Environment), Amina Mohammed (Sports), Rachel Omamo (Foreign Affairs), Joe Mucheru (ICT), Monica Juma (Energy), Ukur Yattani (Treasury), Betty Maina (Trade) and Simon Chelugui (Labour).

Uhuru’s administration still holds office until President Ruto appoints his Cabinet.
