The Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah has issued a clarification on the earlier claims by his running mate Justina Wamae of being in support of the Azimio presidential Candidate Raila Odinga.
“I did not know that my namesake, who recently I gave him a lot of money and a very expensive watch, was joining the other parties. The real one is here. When I speak something on Raila or Ruto, the other people claim I am a project and vice versa,” he remarked.
Let our supporters not forget that we are in the race to State House in the August Polls.
His Running mate Justina Wamae had implied that his partner in the quest for the presidency seems to be in support of the political faction but stood her stand that she is still in the race with the party to the presidency in a day away Polls.
“It is true Wajackoyah is supporting Azimio but we have not discussed that as a party. If we need to take a stand on who to support, I will support the contrary. We have been branded a project twice but we have not agreed as a party,” she said.
During an interview, the Roots Party running mate hinted there being issues in differing ideologies within the party but insisted on their presence on the ballot with her boss in the race.
Explaining to the public in a statement, Wamae ruled out the plan of joining either Azimio or Kenyan Kwanza emphasizing their presence on the ballot and calling for the voters to turn out in numbers.
“We are still committed to legalizing and regulating marijuana’s industrial hemp so that we can pay the debt, decrease tax rates and shun donor funding. For us as Roots Party, we are stronger than ever,” she added.
Wajackoyah on the other hand during the last submission to his supporters urged them to keep off believing talks that he is a project posing that he is on a mission to liberate his fellow Kenyans.
“Whoever wins in a fair way, we shall support him but the issue of saying ‘vote for me and don’t vote for Raila,’ our system is different. We are all Kenyans… don’t fight,” the Roots party presidential candidate told his supporters.
