Caleb Odanga, a 7-year-old Grade One pupil at Greens Angels Academy, has tragically passed away. Caleb’s life was cut short after an accident during a school trip.
The incident occurred at Destiny Gardens in Ruiru, where Caleb fell from a merry-go-round swing. Following the accident, Caleb was admitted to the ICU at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital. He suffered a traumatic brain injury.
Despite the continued efforts of the medical team, they were compelled to break news to the family that their beloved son had no realistic chance of recovery. The medics confirmed that no medical intervention could stabilize his condition.
As a result, the doctors advised Caleb’s family to withdraw life support. However, up to a week go, the family held onto hope, exploring multiple hospitals and even considering the possibility of flying Caleb to India for further opinions.
