The DCI finally caught up with a motorcycle theft gang that had been stealing and selling motorcycles to a neighboring country.
The ring of three includes, Agnes Wambui, Daniel Mwaniki and William Nkadanyo, alias Saningo. The three are said to have masterminded the disappearance of motorcycles in various town in the country. Investigations revealed that the gang would transport their loot to Loitoktok, where they would later be smuggled across the border.

Investigations also confirmed that each member had a role. Agnes Wambui would pose as a passenger and later on drug riders using stupefying pills before disappearing with their motorcycles. After her arrest, Agnes led the detectives to her accomplices.
William, who was arrested in Loitoktok town is believed to have been waiting for his next assignment. The Police also caught up with the other member, Daniel and took him into custody.

The gang was found with several stolen mobile phones. One of the phones recovered belonged to a motorcycle rider who had been drugged and robbed in Juja, Kiambu County.
In addition, they also recovered over 30 tablets believed to be stupefying drugs. It was also discovered that, the three have pending criminal cases in Kajiado and Kwale County.
