Comedian Eric Omondi declared that he will be protesting continuously for 14 days. Eric Omondi is adamant about working toward a decrease in the high cost of living among Kenyans.
Eric Omondi claims that the stories he receives every day are getting worse giving an example of children who have not eaten for three days straight.

“I will fight for the Wanjikus. It is not easy because the messages I receive, it’s getting crazier every day. I was once told that watoto hawajakula siku tatu. How is that even possible? “Eric Omondi said while speaking to Hot 96.
Eric Omondi has been making headlines in various local news outlets for being arrested for protesting and causing a disturbance in the street. He was arrested severally but the most recent arrest was on Monday when he was taken to court and arraigned for his alleged crimes.

Eric Omondi condemned the Kenya Kwanza government for putting their needs first rather than serving and helping the Kenyan citizens who are suffering because they lack basic needs.
“Why does Mudavadi need a car? Someone who was born into a wealthy family? Why is it more urgent? There are issues the government can address today,” Eric Omondi questioned.
Eric Omondi also revealed that he is considering and might be joining politics his reason being that he will be able to fight better for suffering Kenyan citizens when he is on the inside. Eric Omondi has also realized that he has done so much but achieved very little.
“I have done a lot and achieved little. People have told me that sometimes if I need to see the change I have to be on the inside so that I can be able to fight for Wanjiku, so it is something I am considering. But that is the way in the future,” Eric Omondi said.
However, if given a choice he would like to remain as a comedian. He insists that all he is doing is fighting for the voiceless Kenyans and giving them the opportunity to let their grievances be heard.
“I’m a comedian, I don’t want to become a politician. I’m just fighting for the right of the people and I know I will achieve it,” Eric Omondi said.
