African Union Chairperson, Moussa Faki Mahamat, has urged opposition leader Raila Odinga and President William Ruto to sit down and talk following the ongoing anti-government protests in Kenya.
The Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya flag bearer Raila Odinga has recently called for regular protests twice a week which are Monday and Thursday, stating that the Kenya Kwanza regime must lower the cost of living in the country.
A statement from Faki’s office on Tuesday, March 28, stated the chairperson urges all stakeholders to exercise calm and engage in dialogue to address any differences that may exist in the supreme interest of national unity and reconciliation.
“The AU Chairperson expresses deep concern at the violence which has resulted in the loss of life, damage of property and the interruption of certain economic activities in Kenya,” his office further added in the statement.
