On January 24, actors Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams announced the 2023 Academy Awards live nominations from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
The winners of the 95th Academy Awards will be announced live on ABC on March 12, with host Jimmy Kimmel.
Several previous Oscar winners, including Brad Pitt, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, and others, were left off the list amid the surprise nominations, such as Andrea Riseborough for To Leslie.

Surprise nominees
To Leslie, Andrea Riseborough
A last-minute bid from her A-list peers has landed Riseborough her first Oscar nomination for Best Actress for her work in ‘To Leslie’.
Everything Everywhere at Once, Stephanie Hsu
While no surprise to anyone who has seen EEAAO, Hsu has been conspicuously absent from most award shows this season—but that is no longer the case with her Best Supporting Actress nomination.
