Let us make this father’s day special for our dads. Father’s Day is a time to celebrate all of the father figures for their contribution to our lives. We appreciate them for being our confidantes, protectors, and providers.
With Father’s Day this weekend, we should embrace the essential role dads play in our lives.
Celebrate Father’s Day with these great gifts, ideas and activities;
1. Do It yourself
Prepare a card with a heart-warming message, I bet he will love it as handmade items are always much appreciated and special because it is the only one in the world.
2. Be Inquisitive
Take time to get to know him better, and ask about his childhood and the things he did/did not like when he was a kid. Care enough to find out what his interest was in his youthful days.
3. Study with him
You can be a little interesting this Father’s Day by asking your dad to join you in a study session. The two of you may end up debating on who the teacher is and who the student is and have a bit of fun.
4. Ask him to teach you
Because he’s your dad, he has a lifetime of experience. Ask him to teach you some of these unknown things that will positively change your mindset or impact you, as you get to bond.
5. Buy him gifts
We tend to think hard when it comes to gifts for dads. Well, if that gives you time to ponder, how about settling for the things he loves?
Maybe your dad loves learning about the cultures and histories of different places, buy him a collection of autobiographical books or audios.
6. Step out
If you’ve never stepped out with your dad this can be the perfect time to do it. Find an interesting outdoor activity and do it with him.
7. Cook
Cook your dad his favorite meal. You can make it a surprise meal. This will do the magic if you don’t know what to buy for him.
This day comes once a year so we should take advantage of it to make our dads feel appreciated, treasured, and loved.
