Kenya’s Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Wednesday, December 14 flagged off direct flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Kakamega Airstrip.
After the flagging off, DP Gachagua clarified that the National Government is committed to fulfilling its promises to the People of Western Kenya region at large.
At Wilson Airport, DP supported the President’s efforts in addressing a Private Flight Company for a Partnership agreement deal.

“The Head of State carried out a developmental strategy in order to reach out to the Private Flight Company for a Partnership deal for the benefit of the Western Kenya region,” the Deputy President said.
Rigathi Gachagua promised that Ruto’s timely intervention had come to the aid of the Western Kenya region leadership.

On the other hand, Transport Cabinet Secretary-Kipchumba Murkomen was given a role to play by the Kenya Kwanza Government to open Commercial Flights to every County to ease business operations.
“The president has asked Transport Cabinet Secretary to make sure that at the end of the term have opened Commercial Flights to each county for smooth Business Operations and Travel,” Deputy President said in a statement.
The Deputy President also called upon Kenyan Citizens to make use of Air Travel as it is no longer a Luxury but a Necessity. He noted that the opportunity would promote Businesses and the Tourism sector.
