Manchester United announce that club legend Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave with immediate effect following lengthy TalkTv Interview
Cristiano Ronaldo is in Qatar, preparing to captain his side, Portugal in their Thursday fixture against Ghana. Last week, the Portuguese superstar was featured in a controversial tell-all 90-minute interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan.
The TalkTv interview revealed a lot of the frustration around Cristiano Ronaldo’s career during his second stint at the club.
On Tuesday, in a press statement, Manchester United thanked Cristiano for his immense contribution at Old Trafford since his return. The club thanked him for scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances and wished him and his family well in the future.
The statement continued, “Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.”
