Kenya has appeared in renewed global focus following the resurfacing of an alleged 2009 email linked to files associated with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, in which luxury travel plans to the country are outlined in detail.
The email, dated December 18, 2009, appears to be sent by Hollywood publicist Peggy Siegal and describes an international trip beginning in Europe and ending in several high-end destinations across Kenya.
“We are about to take off for Amsterdam to Nairobi,” the email reads.
“We land the morning of the 19th in Amsterdam and late evening of the 19th in Nairobi.”
According to the correspondence, the trip included travel from Nairobi into the Maasai Mara.
“On Sunday morning we fly into the bush to Cotter’s Camp in the Masai Mara,” Siegal wrote, before outlining further movements within the country.
The itinerary continued north to Samburu and the Kenyan coast.
“Then to Sasaab in 24th-26th. Then on 26th to Lamu to Peponi Hotel… and back Jan. 4th,” the email states.
“If the Masai warriors don’t eat us, the pirates from Somalia will,” the email further reads.
The correspondence also references future travel and social engagements, including plans to reunite in Palm Beach.
The message is signed by Peggy Siegal and includes a reference to Jeffrey Epstein, whose global network and movements have been under intense scrutiny following the release of additional files connected to past investigations.
Its appearance in the broader Epstein files has sparked online discussion as the public revisits documents linked to Epstein’s international travel and associations.
