Authorities say a man suspected of killing a missing Massachusetts lady is thought to have taken a plane to Kenya after the woman’s body was discovered this week in a garage at Boston’s Logan Airport.
According to a press release from the Massachusetts State Police, Margaret Mbitu, 31, was found dead in a parking garage at Logan International Airport in Boston on Wednesday around 6:30 p.m. local time. Mbitu, a Whitman resident, was reported missing on Monday by her family. Kevin Kangethe of Lowell, 40, has been identified by investigators as the suspect, and an arrest warrant has been obtained for him. He allegedly travelled via air to Kenya.

Authorities stated that they are collaborating with Kenyan law enforcement to find him. Police claimed that Kangethe and Mbitu know one another and that neither the general public nor travellers using the airport are in danger. There were obvious knife wounds on her face, neck, and side, close to her chest, when her body was discovered.
After piecing together Mbitu’s final hours, investigators determined that Kevin Kangethe was the main suspect. The mother of the deceased, Rose Mbitu told an American news outlet that her daughter was seeing the accused killer and that she was attempting to end their relationship before she was murdered.
