Barcelona’s injury concerns are growing as both Jules Kounde and Lamine Yamal are now facing spells on the sidelines.
Kounde sustained a knee injury during Barcelona’s 2-2 draw against Granada on Sunday evening and it has now been diagnosed as an MCL sprain.
According to Athletic, the injury is expected to rule the Frenchman out for at least a month which means he will be unavailable for El Clasico on October 28.

On the other hand,Yamal’s injury is expected to be relatively minor despite suffering a hip flexor injury.
However, the teenager will continue to be part of the Spain squad during the international break and will undergo evaluation by the national team’s medical staff, as stated in a club announcement.

Xavi is now facing an extensive injury list with 19 days to go until Barca’s clash with Real Madrid.
Frenkie de Jong suffered an ankle injury in September and it is feared he could be out until November.
Also in the list is Lewandowski who was forced off with injury during their Champions League clash with Porto.

Raphinha has also been ruled out while Pedri is on the verge of a return but will need time to find match fitness.
Barcelona’s next match is scheduled for October 22, as they welcome Athletic Club. Xavi will be keeping his fingers crossed, hoping that none of his players will suffer injuries while on national team duty before that game.
