A South Korean man has been given a prison term for using artificial intelligence to produce child exploitation photographs.
Courts throughout the world are dealing with the use of emerging technology to produce offensive sexual content. According to a report by CNN, the prosecution’s office said that in April, he had produced around 360 AI-generated photographs.

According to the Busan District Court and the district’s Public Prosecutor’s Office, the unidentified man, who is said to be in his 40s, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison this month.
The concept of sexually exploitative material, according to the prosecution, should encompass descriptions of sexual behavior by “virtual humans” rather than only the real sight of youngsters. The prosecutor’s office stated that the decision demonstrated that sexually harmful content could include images created using “high-level” technology that is convincing enough to resemble actual children and minors.
