A visually impaired man from China has defied limitations by unleashing the power of 3D printing technology to fuel his passion for innovation.
Ling’s extraordinary journey into the realm of technology began in his childhood, after an incident that impaired his eyesight. Instead of allowing his impairment to limit him, Ling’s resourcefulness and determination pushed him towards a path of creativity and discovery.
During childhood, Ling had an issue of reading and due to the straining it affected his eyes. Boldly, he developed a makeshift magnifying glass that alleviated the discomfort and enabled him to pursue his thirst for knowledge.

This early experience laid the foundation for Ling’s unwavering determination to overcome obstacles and find solutions.
In 2018, Ling established a computer repair shop in his hometown. Supported by job subsidies from the local government, he seized the opportunity to delve into the realm of 3D printing.
Despite the unique challenges that visually impaired individuals often encounter in this field, Ling eagerly embraced the learning process, determined to unravel the intricacies of this cutting-edge technology.
Driven by his passion for excellence, Ling devoted himself to mastering the art of 3D printing. Through self-study exams, he earned a computing diploma in 2022, a testament to his indomitable spirit and commitment to personal growth.
