Premier League legend and renowned sports pundit at ESPN, Shaka Hislop, collapsed during a live TV broadcast of a pre-season match between Real Madrid and AC Milan at Rise Bowl.
In a recent video posted by ESPN, following the incident, Shaka, having recovered said: “That was awkward. What a 24 hours this has been. Listen, every so often, life gives you a moment to pause and this was mine.”
Hislop collapsed during the pre-match buildup and could be seen wobbling before eventually falling face-forward into co-host Dan Thomas.

This sparked immediate concern on the touchline as a couple of nearby workers rushed over and Thomas can be heard saying,” We need some help.”
ESPN quickly cut off to a break and later returned with good news about the 54-year-old at halftime.
Thomas updated the viewers and said that Shaka was conscious and talking
Hislop’s Premier League career began in the 1995-1996 season when he joined Newcastle United and later moved to West Ham where he played for six years.
