Twitter boss Elon Musk, has hinted at the possibility of changing the Twitter company logo from the usual bird to an ‘X’.
In a series of tweets on his account, the owner of the social media platform said that ‘and soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds’, hinting at the possibility of bidding goodbye to the bird logo. This move, Elon writes, is because of his love for the letter X.

Elon Musk has said that he plans to replace the bird logo with an X as soon as he is able to find the right design for the logo. ABC News reports that the change could happen as soon as tomorrow. The change will be among the many changes that Elon Musk has made to the social media platform since he bought it at $44 billion last year.
Elon Musk is responsible for numerous changes to the platform including the introduction of Twitter Blue, a plan that allows users to pay in order to get a verification on the platform. Twitter Blue users are offered incentives by the social media platform including the ability to limit the number of direct messages that they receive from unverified users.
Twitter users have expressed their outrage at Elon Musk’s planned move to change the logo saying that he has already ‘done enough changes’ to the platform. One user highlighted that the bird logo is a strong brand and is supposed to illustrate the act of ‘tweeting’ as birds do and changing it would be a big change in transforming the social media platform.
