Sensational and award winning content creator, Azziad Nasenya has taken legal actions against Brian Chira for allegedly defaming her. Eve Mungai shared a video of Brian Chira in handcuffs being led to the police station on July 27th at around 8.30pm.
According to Azziad’s lawyer, Getrude Kibare from Johnson and Partners Advocates, Brian Chira reportedly went on live Tiktok a week ago and defamed Azziad saying derogatory remarks and gave out her private number to the public. Which led to Azziad being bombarded with calls and messages that were insulting.
Sometime last week, Chira went live on Tiktok at night and from the live I think the topic was Azziad and he uttered some words. The words were very defamatory and he did not stop there, he also went ahead and gave out her number. My client for the past week has been buzzed with a lot of calls and messages, some of which are actually insults because of that.

Azziad’s lawyer continues to say that her client decided to pursue legal action against Brian Chira since they have Computer Misuse and Cyber Crime Act. Getrude mentioned that all legal institutions necessary including the police and the DCI had been involved in the arrest of Brian Chira.
We have engaged the relevant legal institutions is the police, and also the Directorate of Criminal Investigations. That’s why we are here today. He was arrested today.
The matter is now in the hands of the police and the investigators who will have to prepare the charge sheet to be presented to the office of the director of public prosecutions, before eventually being taken to court to answer to his charges.

According to Gertrude, Chira commuted a serious offense by defaming her and disclosing her private information. He could face a fine up to 10 million Kenya shillings.
If you look at the Computer Misuse and Cyber Crime Act, all the way from section 14 to 46, provides offence and penalties. For this particular offense, you can pay a fine up to Ksh 10 million. At the moment he has the rights for bail.

In a video, Brian Chira is seen in handcuffs sitting at the police station talking to someone over the phone. He confirms to the person over the phone that he was in police custody because he insulted Azziad before handing the phone over to the police.
