Police Uncover Subsidy Fertilizer Repackaging Along Nanyuki Road, 4 Arrested

Arrest

Nairobi police officers have made a significant breakthrough in their ongoing fight against criminal activities, as they apprehended suspects involved in repackaging fertilizer intended for the government’s subsidy program. The arrests were made following a tip-off received by regional Police Commander Adamson Bungei, who swiftly coordinated the operation.

In a daring raid on a godown located along Nanyuki road, authorities stumbled upon a shocking discovery: not only were the culprits tampering with the subsidized fertilizer, but they were also involved in repackaging relief food under false pretenses for Indian brands.

The scale of the operation became apparent as the police seized a staggering 1360 bags of rice and 200 bags of maize that were being illicitly repackaged.

Alongside the seized relief food, law enforcement officials managed to confiscate a massive haul of 50,000 bags of the highly sought-after subsidy fertilizer. This substantial interception dealt a significant blow to the illegal network responsible for diverting vital resources meant for the country’s farmers.

The comprehensive investigation aims to unveil the entire syndicate operating behind these illicit activities.
