The parents, witnessing the toll that work-related stress had taken on their daughter, recognized the need for intervention. Nianan, a hardworking professional, had been experiencing overwhelming stress and exhaustion from her job.

Determined to alleviate her burdens, her parents then proposed a solution that would allow their daughter to leave her current position and focus on her well-being.

According to a report by the ‘South China Morning Post’, Nianan faced mental health challenges in 2022 as a result of being constantly on call while employed at a media agency.

Nianan’s parents, upon witnessing the immense stress she was enduring, reportedly stepped in to provide a unique solution. They compassionately suggested, “Why not resign from your job? We will support you financially.”

As per reports, they assured her that she would receive a monthly stipend of 4,000 yuan (R11,206) if she chose to relocate and live with them.
