Raila Malema

It’s a hot political season as opposition parties in Africa plan protests on March 20. The question in everyone’s mind at this point is if this was just a coincidence or if it was actually planned.

In Kenya, the opposition leader Raila Odinga declares to challenge what he claims is an illegitimate regime and has assured Kenyans he is ready and prepared to pay the ultimate price while fighting for the liberation of Kenya.

According to Raila, forming the movement for Defense of Democracy is to help fight the high cost of living which he claims is a result of massive looting of public resources and said the current regime has failed to live up to its promises.

He has unlawfully declared Monday, March 20, a public holiday and has called on all his supporters to come out in numbers and protest for a legitimate and inclusive government.

Meanwhile, the EFF leader Julius Malema also announced a National shutdown in South Africa on this same March 20.

He says nothing will move on that day and has called for President Cyril Ramaphosa to step down immediately and claims he has failed to govern the country effectively.

The EFF has threatened to have the country at a standstill saying no business operations will be open on the day.

Malema went ahead and assured that the planned protests will be peaceful and said the only time there will be violence is if members of the EFF are provoked by the police.

Tunisia is not left behind on this Revolution as Anti-government demonstrations are likely to happen on this same day as the nation observes its Independence Day holiday.

March 20 is usually celebrated as Tunisia National Day. It is a public holiday to commemorate the day when Tunisia gained independence.
