Beginning on December 1, 2022, Polycarp Igathe will work for Tiger Brands in Johannesburg as its Chief Growth Officer for the rest of Africa.

Igathe served as a brand employee in the company’s Managing Director of its East Africa business before his departure to join the British petroleum company, Vivo Energy.

He was former deputy governor for Nairobi in the administration of Mike Sonko but resigned a year after being elected in office claiming he failed to earn the governor’s trust and thus couldn’t deliver his oath of office.

Igathe was the candidate for Azimio in the 2022 General election where the current governor Sakaja won.

.Igathe graduated from Strathmore University’s Advanced Management Program (AMP) with IESE Business School in Spain and possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and sociology from the University of Nairobi. Igathe served as the National Chairman of AIESEC in Kenya while attending the University of Nairobi.
