Speaking at Kasarani stadium in Nairobi where he winded up his campaign ahead of the August 9th polls, Raila said that the Mandela moment for Kenya is here.

“Just like Mandela when he was released from prison, I want to assure Kenyans that I will not take revenge of those who have wronged me at all. I want a better Kenya for all of us to thrive, I picked Martha Karua as my deputy because she is a fighter who believes in a greater Kenya.” Says Raila.

At the same time Raila revealed that in 100 days should they form the next government, they will disperse the Ksh 6,000 to those poor Kenyans. “The Auditor General findings reveals that Ksh 800 billion is stolen every month which is equivalent to the Gross Domestic Product of some of EAC neighbours. If we just seal all the corruptions loopholes, then we can save this country from hands of these thieves.”

At the same time, Raila said that he will reach out to his political rivals whether he wins the August 9th elections or not.

“Canaan is real my dear brothers and sisters and we cannot enter the land of milk and honey when holding political grudges. Today I am reaching out to my political competitors that they should embrace peace after August 9th because Kenya is bigger than Raila and any other person.” Raila comments.

His running mate Martha Karua also urged Kenyans that the future of Kenya lies in Odinga’s hands.

“There is no leader like Raila who has been in detention for this country fighting for multiparty system in the 1980s and with him at the helm of leadership of our country,I can assure you that the new dawn is here for us to reap the fruits .” recalls Martha.

The former premier moved the crowd when he revealed that Ida Odinga played a pivotal role in keeping his family together while he was in detention.

“Today I want to thank the strongest woman known to me, Her Excellency Dr Ida Betty Anyango Odinga, she was the pillar of our family while I was in prison fighting for multiparty in Kenya. Nothing can stop the power of a good woman battling shoulder to shoulder with an engineer,” Raila stated.

The Azimio La Umoja called on his followers to come out in large numbers and cast their votes in his fifth quest for the presidency.

“The battel is not won by sitting at home while our competitors are outing voting ,come Tuesday let’s all come out from all corners of our nation because freedom is already here .The spirit of Aluta Continua lies on your hands as voters. ”Raila concludes.
