How to get rid of odorous underarms at home

While a roll-on deodorant or antiperspirant can be a temporary fix for your odorous underarms in the summer. Here are a few natural cures to help you get rid of that unsightly underarm odor. It’s also critical to understand what causes body odor in humans.

When we sweat, the bacteria that live on the surface of our skin break down the proteins, releasing certain unique acid compounds that produce the offensive odor.

Apply rock salt
Adding rock salt to a pail of warm water will help it dissolve. After thoroughly mixing until it dissolves, take a shower. It removes excess sweat and has cleaning qualities.

Use baking soda and lemon
Mix one tablespoon of lemon juice with two tablespoons of baking soda. Produce a paste. Ten minutes later, use circular motions to massage the mixture into your underarms. Rinse with water.

Use tomato juice
Juice from a tomato and lemon together. Your armpits should be covered with the mixture for 10 minutes, after which you should rinse it off with cold water.

Apple cider vinegar aerosol
Combine one cup of apple cider vinegar with one-half cup of water. Use it every night on your underarms before bed by placing it in a spray bottle. In the morning, wash it with lukewarm water.

Use potatoes
Potatoes should be sliced thinly and rubbed on your underarms for 30 minutes. You can get rid of the odor in your underarms by washing it.
