The 2025 FIFPRO Men’s and Women’s World 11 teams have been revealed, celebrating the best footballers on the planet as chosen by the players themselves. This year’s edition marks a mix of dominance, milestones, and history-making debuts across both the mens and womens teams.
More than 26,000 professional footballers from 68 countries participated in the voting process, making FIFPRO’s World 11 the only global football award decided entirely by players. It is a peer-to-peer recognition that carries unique credibility in the sport.
Paris Saint-Germain stars headline the Men’s World 11
French champions Paris Saint-Germain dominate this year’s men’s lineup following their treble-winning season, placing five players in the team. Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, now at Manchester City, leads a group that also includes defenders Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes, midfielder Vitinha, and winger Ousmane Dembélé.
Teenage sensation Lamine Yamal of Barcelona continues to make headlines as the youngest player ever selected for a Men’s World 11. At just 18, he surpasses Kylian Mbappé’s record from 2018, when the French star made the lineup aged 19.
Other familiar names include Virgil van Dijk, Pedri, Jude Bellingham, Cole Palmer, and Mbappé himself — now representing Real Madrid. Palmer’s inclusion crowns a breakout season for the Chelsea midfielder, who described the selection as a career-defining moment after being recognised by his peers.
England’s Lionesses dominate the Women’s World 11
England reaffirmed its status as a powerhouse in women’s football, with six Lionesses named in the 2025 World 11, more than any other nation. Among them are first-time selections Hannah Hampton and Chloe Kelly, joining seasoned stars Millie Bright, Leah Williamson, Lucy Bronze, and Alessia Russo.
Bronze set a remarkable milestone with her eighth appearance, breaking the previous record held by France’s Wendie Renard. Her consistency over the past decade cements her as one of the sport’s defining defenders.
African excellence
For the first time, two African women feature in a single World 11 lineup. Zambia’s Barbra Banda, now with Orlando Pride, makes her second appearance, while Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak earns her debut. Their selections represent a growing recognition of African talent and the continent’s expanding influence in world football.
How did the voting work?
Voting for the 2025 FIFPRO World 11 ran through a secure digital platform coordinated by FIFPRO and its affiliated player unions.
- Men’s votes covered performances between 15 July 2024 and 3 August 2025, requiring at least 30 official matches.
- Women’s votes spanned 11 August 2024 to 3 August 2025, with a minimum of 20 appearances.
Each player selected three standout performers per position: goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, and forward. The top vote-getters in each category earned selection, with the final outfield spot awarded to the next-highest overall vote recipient.

Since its inception in 2005, the FIFPRO World 11 has stood apart from other awards because it is shaped entirely by footballers — those who compete, train, and understand the game from within. Each year, the lineup offers a snapshot of football’s evolving landscape: the rise of youth, the endurance of legends, and the widening reach of the sport across continents.
