In addition to those payments, every country that qualified for the expanded 48-team tournament benefited from FIFA’s participation and preparation funding, designed to ease the costs of training camps, travel and logistics.

The record-breaking prize fund reflects FIFA’s continued investment in its flagship tournament following the expansion from 32 to 48 teams. The governing body says the increased financial support is intended to reward sporting success while ensuring every qualified nation receives meaningful backing for taking part on football’s biggest stage.
