NAIROBI — Tickets for the highly anticipated Kenya vs Angola Group A match scheduled for Thursday, August 7, at Nairobi’s Kasarani Stadium are officially sold out.

The Kenya Football Federation confirmed Sunday that all tickets, priced at Ksh 200 for terraces and Ksh 500 for VIP, were snapped up during Harambee Stars’ opening game against DR Congo. Kenya secured a narrow 1-0 win in that match, igniting hope among fans for a strong tournament run.
The match against Angola, set for 7:00 p.m., is viewed as critical for Kenya’s chances of progressing to the quarterfinals. A second consecutive win would boost the team’s position in the group standings, while Angola will be fighting to stay in contention after a 2-0 defeat to Morocco at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday.

Despite the Kenya-DR Congo tickets also selling out, many stadium seats remained empty during the opening game. The federation did not immediately address the discrepancy between ticket sales and attendance, raising concerns among fans who were locked out.
Only tickets for the Kenya vs Morocco match on Sunday, August 10, remain available. That game will also be played at Kasarani and could determine the group’s final standings.
Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy has emphasized the need for consistency, urging supporters to maintain faith in the team. “The win against Congo gave us momentum. We now focus on Angola and aim to keep the same intensity,” he said after the match.
Meanwhile, Angola will be looking to bounce back quickly to avoid elimination. Their loss to Morocco has left them at the bottom of the group with zero points and a goal difference of minus two.
Kickoff on Thursday promises a high-stakes encounter as both sides fight for survival and supremacy in Group A.
