Reggae entertainer and health advocate Jahmby Koikai passed away while receiving treatment at the Nairobi hospital’s ICU unit on Monday evening.
Jahmby’s strong-willed attitude and ‘never say never’ mindset inspired many and undoubtedly made her a fan-favourite in the media industry.
Jahmby, a fan-favourite, who had been battling stage IV endometriosis, recently turned to social media to appeal for blood donations.
Unfortunately, her condition deteriorated, leading to her being rushed to Nairobi Hospital and admitted to the ICU.
She will be greatly missed by the reggae community, from her cheerfulness to her contributions to raising awareness about endometriosis.
Friends, fans and former colleagues eulogised Koikai as a positive spirit who fought and bettered the lives of those around her until the very end.
