“We have been preparing well for this match for a long time,” he said, noting that his players should respect the Tanzanian national team.

On the Tanzanian side, coach Adel Amrouche acknowledges the achievements of Morocco but sparked controversy by questioning CAF decisions.
“Currently, the FRMF is a confirmed power in the African football world, in the last match against Morocco, they forced us to play in the evening when we wanted to play in the early afternoon,” Amrouche claimed in a televised statement to an Algerian TV channel.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Tanzania’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) against Morocco, Amrouch seemingly retracted his statement, instead praising the Moroccan team.
“The Moroccan team speaks for itself … it is one of the best teams in the world,” he added.
