“I Might Die Today” The Last Words of a Missing Kenyan Woman in Dubai

Purity Wanjiru Muchiri, a missing person, sent a distressing message to a family member on November 2, claiming that she was not okay. The woman, who resides in Dubai has since gone silent, and members of her family are worried. Their worry is fueled by a phone call they received days later from an unknown caller claiming that Purity was found injured outside a supermarket.

Family members of Purity Wanjiru are concerned about the whereabouts and well-being of their kin. Speaking to reporters, Purity’s brother disclosed that his sister had sent a disturbing message before going silent. Nyaga Wilson shared the content of the message, “I might today good luck.”

According to Nyaga, efforts to locate Purity have been futile since her mobile numbers are off. After severally reporting the matter to the police through friends in Abu Dhabi, the police suggested that Purity call 999 if she is in trouble.

Three days after Purity went silent, Nyaga’s wife, who resides in Kenya got a call from an unknown caller with an Arabic accent. The caller, who did not say much, disconnected the call after uttering, “Hello.” The call, according to Nyaga left them with more questions than answers.

When Nyaga returned the call, he was informed that a young Kenyan girl was found outside the Lulu hypermarket in Al Qasimia. The informant added that when he found the girl, she was crying and seriously injured, unable to stand.

The family of Purity Wanjiru is asking for any kind of help or assistance in finding her. With very little information and no way of reaching her, the family is uncertain of what steps to take next.

Earlier on, the police had advised that the situation be treated as a missing person case. However, with the phone call that followed Purity’s disappearance, the family is worried about her wellbeing.
