Face piercings are common but need an expert due to the sensitive muscles on the face. Common face piercings include the ears, nose, and tongue. Njambi, on the other hand, opted to go for an upper lip piercing.
Bernice Njeri known for her role as Njambi in the Real House Helps of Kawangware has been left botched after an upper lip piercing went bad. Njeri has now been left with a swollen lip and immense discomfort.
The actress shared on her social pages how her attempt to get a lip piercing went bad leaving her looking botched. She was however witty and light-hearted about her condition as she offered advice to those wanting an upper lip piercing.
Guys, for the longest time, I have been wanting this upper lip piercing. Look at how swollen my lips are now. It looks like a botched lip surgery.”

Njeri was adamant about removing the lip piercing. Saying that she had tried different home remedies to reduce the swelling to no prevail. Saying that she had to stay at home for days due to the swollen lip.
“If you want an upper lip or tongue piercing, just know you will swell. I have been home for two days because I don’t want to leave the house. I have tried an ice cube but it does not help, and I’m not removing it.”
In another post, Njeri shared that she could not take the discomfort any longer and had to succumb to the pressure. She ended up removing the piercing.
