The Ring of Fire eclipse, a rare celestial event, occurred over the Americas on Saturday. It is said that this won’t happen again in that region of the planet until 2046.
As a “ring of fire” appeared in the sky over North, Central, and South America, millions of people were in the path of the annular solar eclipse. The moon cannot totally hide the sun since it is at the furthest point in its orbit from Earth during an annular solar eclipse. Instead, the so-called ring of fire is actually the sun’s flaming light around the moon’s shadow.

In Oregon, the eclipse started at 12:13 p.m. ET (9:13 a.m. PT). At 3:48 p.m. ET, it is anticipated to come to an end off the Brazilian Atlantic coast. The moon moved in front of the sun, bringing clouds and lowering temperatures as it passed over city after city. A partial solar eclipse in the shape of a crescent, which appears to be the moon biting into the sun, was also visible to those beyond the path.
Many American watchers managed to snap magnificent photographs of the eclipse, which rapidly went viral and was shared and enjoyed as far away as Italy.

Another celestial event is coming up for those who missed the annular solar eclipse. On October 28, a partial lunar eclipse is scheduled to take place. This time, it will be visible from Europe.
