McTominay’s Late Double Rescues Manchester United

McTominay, a Scotland international became an unexpected hero when Manchester United made a surprising comeback win against Brentford.

In yesterday’s match at Old Trafford, the Red Devils paid tribute to Sir Alex Ferguson’s late wife Cathy with the remarkable comeback they were known for during the time of the legendary Scottish manager.

McTominay had only joined the game as a substitute in the 87th minute and it seemed like a last-minute decision by Erik ten Hag, who was on the brink of becoming the first manager to lose three consecutive matches at Old Trafford since Matt Busby in 1962.

It turned out to be a brilliant decision asthe midfielder equalized for United in the 93 minute and then scored with a header from a Harry Maguire pass in the 97 minute, causing an ecstatic reaction at Old Trafford.

The victory was even more surprising because United had played poorly.

They conceded a simple goal by Mathias Jensen due to mistakes by Casemiro and Victor Lindelof.

Even if we don’t consider that goal, United appeared completely lacking in confidence and creativity.
