First term Nairobi Senator, Edwin Sifuna has warned the Kenya Kwanza Government of continued demonstrations. Sifuna issued the warning live on air at a morning show on Citizen TV.
Following the on going protests against the Kenya Kwanza Government, Edwin Sifuna cautioned that there will be no rest. The Senator said that, until Kenyan’s demands are meant, Azimio will call for protests on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
By the way from next week, three days straight of maandamano; Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until William Ruto understands that the people are suffering and repeals this law the same way he imposed it upon the people.

Edwin Sifuna also said that they have undisputed evidence that the government has hired goons within the police to shoot on protestors.

On Tuesday, July 11, President William Ruto had warned Azimio- One Kenya leader, Raila Odinga against staging protests. His warning came after Azimio’s previous protests had claimed six lives. Speaking from a point of concern and authority, the President insisted that he would not allow Kenyans to die to satisfy the political interests of a few people.
Despite his warnings, Azimio still went ahead and held yet another protest on Wednesday, July 12. The aftermath of these demonstrations were loss of lives as well as mass looting and destruction of property. So far, five people have been reported due to the recent demonstrations. In addition, there are numerous cases of injured citizens and vandalized supermarkets as well as public roads.
