Jalang’o the MP of Langata has shared a new guideline on his Facebook page, stating that all events happening in Langata should consider the youths of Langata with an allocation of 50% chances awarded to them.
Jalang’o went ahead to explain that all events in Carnivore, Nyayo, Uhuru Garden, and any other venue, should give the youths of Langata 50% or else perform somewhere else.
“New Guideline, If you are Hosting an event in Langata venues and you don’t give our young people a chance to work at your event, that event will not happen! Carnivore, Uhuru Gardens, Nyayo Stadium, and any other venue in Langata! 50% of jobs must be from Langata Youths ama uende ufanye event kwenu!”Jalang’o wrote on his Facebook page.
The new guideline as per the MP has however been met with critics from his people some asking his advisors to do a good job as a member of parliament and not a comedian.

“Can we apply the same to all businesses in Langata once that happens? We as the Events Industry might consider. For now, Chaos is loading. By The way – Parliament is in which Constituency” Chris Kirwa commented.
“Yaye, Jalas. These are PRIVATE BUSINESSES you can’t dictate how and what they do. Ati events won’t happen? Try and meet in court. The best thing you ought to do was to reject the Finance Bill which you unfortunately supported.” Omondi Asher commented.
“Who will enlighten Jalas that Langata is not a comedy ground for spitting that useless statement..” Kennie Balo commented.
“Hahaha Jalas! Wewe kama mp umetafuta nyumba kwa hio constituency ata?” Alfred Koech pointed out his question.
