Scotland vs Georgia Euro 2024 qualifier was suspended after ten minutes due to the excessive downpour that rendered the pitch waterlogged.
The Tuesday match was affected by heavy rainfall that pounded the area as players struggled with treacherous conditions.
Despite Callum McGregor’s early goal that put Scotland in the lead, Scotland manager Steve Clarke and his Norwegian counterpart were calling for play to be stopped.
Hungarian referee Istvan Vad had to consult with other officials to find a way forward. He called both team captains and I firmed them that they would have to leave the pitch.
It was then announced that there would be a 20-minute delay while the staff attempt to clear the pitch of water.
At 8:40 pm it was announced that players should start re-entering the tunnel and thereafter a ten-minute warmup before resumption.

The game was to resume with the score 1-0 to Scotland however, the rain began to fall again. This forced the referee to push the game to 9:15 pm.
The game finally kicked off at 9:30 pm with the clock at 9 minutes 40 seconds.
