Following Elon Musk’s exit from the company, Linda Yaccarino, Twitter’s new CEO, has stated her goals for “Twitter 2.0.”
In a Twitter thread, the former NBCUniversal marketing executive outlined her plan for Twitter in her new role. Linda Yaccarino said that she would support the company’s goal to ensure free speech, in line with Elon Musk’s plan.

The new Twitter boss also said that her goal was to make Twitter the most reliable source of real-time information writing;
Twitter is on a mission to become the world’s most accurate real-time information source and a global town square for communication. That’s not an empty promise.
Since Elon Musk acquired Twitter last year, the company has come under fire for several reasons including the way the company responds to disinformation.

The company is said to be struggling as many businesses have suspended their Twitter advertising campaigns due to worries about the increase of aggressive and hateful comments.
After months of teasing that he intended to recruit a new top executive for the floundering network, Elon Musk announced that Yacarrino would be taking over the business operations of the company in May.
