China has started constructing the world’s largest hybrid wind-solar farm in the desert for its developmental chapter in the country.
On the path to achieving green energy solutions, the construction of a hybrid solar-wind farm in the Northern Inter Mongolia autonomous region will boost China’s economy.
A recent video distributed on social media shows hundreds of bulldozers smoothing lines into the landscape of the desert, where thousands of solar panels and wind turbines will be installed.

When complete, some 40 billion kilowatts of green power will be provided annually to the heavily industrialized Beijing and Hubby region, which is currently reliant on coal.
Other ongoing projects include the Solar park in the Tanj Desert and this hybrid solar wind farm in Xinjiang.

It’s part of the country’s effort to build 450 gigawatts of solar and wind power in the Gobi and other desert regions in its north and northwest by 2030.
