Former Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha died aged 71 years at Nairobi Hospital on Tuesday, January 24 following cardiac arrest.
Magoha’s death comes just a month following the passing on of his younger brother Alex Nyabera Magoha.
The cause of Alex’s death in the US was not immediately publicised. Alex is survived by his wife, Janet Achieng Magoha, and three children; Crystal Magoha, Ashley Magoha and Bernard Magoha.
“Cortege will leave Agha Khan Funeral Home Kisumu, on Saturday, January 28, for a memorial requiem mass at Township Primary School Yala at 10:00 am followed by intermittent at his Umiru home in Yala, Gem, Sub-County,” Alex’s obituary read in part.
“Magoha, Alex Richard Nyabera 68 was a loving, caring, devoted husband and father. He was very involved in the lives of his children and family,” an obituary published by Bedford Memorial Funeral Home on December 6, added.
Further, in 2021 the family ended up in shocking suspense following the death of their other brother.
Charles Agunga Magoha died on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, but the cause of his death was unclear.
